Rumbi Matamba is a researcher and organized crime analyst, focusing on criminal networks and markets across Africa. She holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Rhodes University and a Master of Laws degree specializing in Public Law from the University of Cape Town.

Her work examines broader trends in organized crime on the continent, with a particular emphasis on targeted killings and organized violence in South Africa. Driven by a passion for research that informs public policy, her work seeks to enhance understanding of organized crime dynamics and their societal impact. Through her work, she aims to contribute to effective crime prevention strategies and policy interventions.
